Elton John – A Musical Icon Hits The Stage Once Again

Elton John, over time, has evidenced to be one of the most influential musicians of his time. His time spans various decades, & his legion of fans spans various generations. John has been performing for more than thirty years, & this summers hitch is obliged to draw in millions of followers around the United States.

Early Life

Elton John was born Reginald Kenneth Dwight in England in 1947, & his earlier puerility was shaped principally by the women in his life. His father, Stanley Dwight, was a Squadron Leader in the RAF, which meant that he was seldom around his son, as his military responsibility kept him on hitch for years.

John proved to be anything of a baby prodigy, as by the old of four, he was capable to play piano melodies by auricle after listening to them either on the radio or record player. He proceeded to hone his cherish for music, & he won a scholarship to the Royal Academy of Music when he was 11.

John learned at the Academy for six years, but went away earlier he graduated since he felt he was set up to focus on his pro music career. John played in his share of bands though he was a student, & it was during this time that his pro mental & vogue were formulated in such a path that they would assist him consistently through his career.

Early Career

Johns premier federation was molded when he was 13, & it was phoned The Corvettes. The Corvettes in the end altered their name to Bluesology, which experienced many success as a backup federation for such R&B artists as the Isley Brothers & Patti LaBelle. This exposure led to Bluesology being signed to assist as Long John Baldrys supporting band, & they would hitch & play little exhibits consistently through England during this time.

John shortly became disillusioned with the tight-fisted shape that Baldry exerted over Bluesology & went away the federation shortly thereafter. Even though there were initial failures, as John auditioned for direct singer roles with King Crimson & Gentle Giant without being hired, this section of his life led him to a partnership that exists to this day.

Career Success

John once once more failed in an audition with Liberty Records, but as he was going away the audition, he was granted a grouping of lyrics without music that were printed by Bernie Taupin, who has as well attempted out for a role with Liberty Records. John published music to support the lyrics, & the 2 began corresponding. John & Taupin met six months later, & it was during this time that John altered his name to what it is today. After a couple of years of composeing music together, the collaborators were set up to encounter the 1970s, which was a decennium wherever they experienced a layer of success that was unmatched in history.

Taupin & John began releasing singles with moderate success, & molded a federation of musicians that would direct to Johns premier count one album, Honky Chateau, in 1972. The album incorporated such hits as Rocket Man & Honky Cat, & spent five weeks at count one.

The following year, John began his personal label, Rocket Records, & his chain of success was amazing. His next nine albums all climbed to the top of the US Album charts, & his thirty-one releases since his premier have traded 100s of millions of duplicates around the world.

Awards/Acknowledgements

John is revered by millions, both inside the music industry & by the common in general. He has been acknowledged in various ways. John has won five Grammy Awards, though this is just the tip of the iceberg in terms of his recognition. In 1995, John won an Academy Award for Best Music, Song for “Can You Feel the Love Tonight,” featured in The Lion King. He won a Golden Globe Award that same year for Best Original Song – Motion Picture for the same score. In 1996, he was decreed a Commander of the British Empire (C.B.E.), & in 1998, he was Knighted by Queen Elizabeth for his donation to music & fund-raising for AIDS charities. Finally, in 2000, John won a Tony Award for Best Original Musical Score for his labor with Aida. John was as well inducted into the Rock & Roll Hall of Fame in 1994.
